Top 8 Tablet Pc of 2011!!!!


With the release of Apple iPad last year and getting sold as hot cake, it was very sure that 2011 will be flooded with new releases of tablet PCs. Its only April but we can see that all the major consumer electronics companies are coming up with their own tablet PC to grab their market share. We have covered 8 tablet PCs this year all from different companies and this is a round up post for all of them. Have a look at them and then decide yourself which is the best for your needs and budget.


  • Apple iPad 2  
    • Apple came up with iPad 2 which is little better than its previous release. It comes with latest Apple iOS 4 and improved camera, memory and battery life.
    • To say Apple's iPad 2 is an easy tablet to review is somewhat of an understatement. The device, a follow up to last year's wildly successful (and currently market-defining) iPad, is nearly identical when it comes to software, and though improved, closely related on the hardware side as well. With a 9.7-inch, 1024 x 768 display, the general size and shape of the device has remained the same, and though inside there's a new dual core A5 CPU, more memory, and a pair of new cameras, most of the iPad 2's changes are cosmetic.

    • Motorola is entering into tablet PC arena with XOOM. It is packed with latest features and it can give tough competition to iPad 2. However the price is a bit on higher side. The key features of XOOM are Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS, 1 GB RAM and high resolution camera.
    • When it comes to quality and stylish mobile phone, Motorola clicks the mind before any other hand set available today. One more time the new XOOM launched by Motorola has raised the heart beats of its competitor as well. The new Motorola Xoom is motorized by Google’s tablet-optimized android 3.0 honeycomb operating system.     • HTC is known for touchscreen android based mobile phones. Now they are also entering into tablet PC market with HTC Flyer. Its display is smaller than XOOM and iPad 2 but offers 1 GB RAM. It runs on Android OS with HTC Sense.

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab
    • Samsung Galaxy Tab was launched last year end but it became available in India this year. It runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS and comes with 512 MB RAM. The 7 inch tablet PC is very lightweight and comes with two cameras.The original Galaxy Tab was, of course, a 7-incher and wasn't universally well received thanks to a number of problems -- the first being a $600 MSRP. Another issue was an Android 2.2 build that tried its best but was ultimately ill-suited for tablet duties. This new 7-inch installment packs a dual-core 1.2GHz processor.

    • LG Optimus Pad is a 8.9-inch tablet with Android 3.0 OS, NVIDIA 1 GB Processor and 32GB memory. Here’s another tablet phone by LG ready to rock the Indian market- LG Optimus Pad/G-Slate. It comes with Android (3.0) Honeycomb Operating System and Dual-core Tegra 2 processor. The best part of this phone is its 3D capability which enables you to capture image and video content.     • HP TouchPad runs on Palm WebOS 3.0. The best feature is Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.2 GHz processor. It disappoints on Camera and Weight.
    • HP comes in the gadget market with the first webOS Slate- the HP Touchpad which works in the way you want.
    • It offers a large 9.7 inch multi-touch tablet diagonally having a 1024×768 pixel screen resolution running the webOS 3.0 operating system. It uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon Dual Core 1.2GHz processor and containing 16GB or 32GB storage space. This also having awesome sound quality because HP added the Beats Audio sound technology (used in HP notebooks).

  • OlivePad VT100
    • Olive is an Indian telecom company that has comeup with their own tablet PC. It is an Android based tablet with 3.5G support.
    • Olive Telecom has recently announced the launch of OlivePad VT100 that is India’s first 3.5G Pad. OlivePad is expected to be the strong contender of Apple’s iPad in Indian market. It’s still not available in stores but we are expecting it to be available soon by August end.
    • OlivePad is designed to be multi functional that runs on Android Operating System and supports 3.5G HSUPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Olive Pad comes with 3 MP camera and a front camera for video chatting. Olive Pad can be used as a touch notebook for browsing, multimedia, instant messaging and to easily access Social networking sites.
